How Austere Is Austerity?

Mention the word austerity and Greece inadvertently arises immediately in our mind. The saying appears to have stuck towards the nation, that's unfortunate. The endless negotiations and failed attempt made by one government therefore the other is farcical. A week ago as I watched Pope Francis travelling in the Fiat throughout his Philadelphia visit, creating a genuine point to austerity leading through the front for the cause, when his predecessors usually have travelled in the limousine, his move definitely made everyone research.

He urged eloquently that being 'poor' was superior to being 'rich' knowning that being blinded by avarice would only increase the gap relating to the poor and the rich, the developed along with the developing. The main cause was commendable therefore was it - heart rendering and genuine. Just some questions remained. Can austerity be imposed inside the true sense? Can folks who suffer from seen lack of of wealth - limousines and larger-than-life amenities allow them to have up just on the behest of bringing more parity for the poor inside the rest of the world? The imagine austerity though laudable is apparently a bit far-fetched.

The Distant Goal

Like each miss world contestant who chants 'world peace' as a possible response to impress the judges in the final round, we percieve organizations and governments alike while using word 'austerity' and 'budget-cuts' liberally without creating any true impact. Idea too obvious which they pay just a lip-service on the word parroting statements without having intentioned effect. For Greece, austerity would bring in additional taxes in a already slow economy which has dirty enough to create jobs and mounting pressure would just make people poorer compared to they already are. Sometime back India the erstwhile ruling party head urged her political party member to adhere to 'austerity measures' which fell flat without any concrete results.

The certainty

In the organization, such as a nation budget cuts are most experienced those found on the low end of the pyramid. That literally brings us returning to the question- Is austerity the best solution or making of the greater problem? Does is serve the purpose in which it is adopted? All depends. The result lies in the intentions. Similar to other measures austerity loses its' depth because intentions associated with an effective follow-through by everybody is either missing or perhaps never proposed. The core in the solution of 'austerity' is not only just blindly cutting cost and making 'being poor' fashionable again but to generate enough opportunities for your 'poor' along with the 'developing' ahead up to the mark.

The imbalance cannot be undone by cutting the stomach of the obese man and handing it towards the famished, but by offering a sustainable growth solution for that starved and underfed also it all starts off with true intentions.
